# Create a visitor invite pass in Rekkeh web or mobile

> Create a visitor invite pass in Rekkeh, fill in guest details and validity, send the invite, and share the generated QR code or OTP via SMS, WhatsApp, or other options.

Create a visitor invite pass so a guest can check in at the gate with a QR code or one-time code. Creating the invite authorizes the visit and generates the pass; it does not check the visitor in.

<Note>
  You need a signed-in Rekkeh account with access to the **Visitors** page. Have the visitor's name and phone number ready; the email is optional.
</Note>

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the Create Invite form">
    Start from the **Visitors** page, where you can create a single invite or a bulk event invite.

    1. Sign in to the Rekkeh web app.
    2. Open **Visitors**.
    3. Select **Create visitor invite** (the **+** action) or **Single invite (QR/OTP)**.

    You land on the **Create Invite** form.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Fill in the invite details">
    The form asks for the visitor's name and phone, and lets you set the visit type, purpose, and how long the pass stays valid.

    1. Enter the **Visitor name**. This is required.
    2. Enter the **Phone**. This is required.
    3. Optionally enter an **Email**. When you provide one, Rekkeh emails the pass and OTP to the visitor.
    4. Choose a **visit type**: **Visitor** (default), **Friends/Family**, **Contractor**, **Delivery**, **Interview**, or **Employee**.
    5. Optionally add a **Purpose note** so the gate knows why the visitor is coming.
    6. Under **Valid for**, choose how long the pass lasts: **2h**, **4h**, **24h** (default), **48h**, or **Custom**. Custom lets you set a duration in hours, with a minimum of 1 hour.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Send the invite">
    Once the name and phone are filled in, send the invite to generate the pass.

    1. Review the details and select **Send visitor pass**.

    If the name or phone is missing, the form shows *Enter visitor name and phone number.* An invalid email shows *Enter a valid email or leave it blank.*
  </Step>

  <Step title="Share the generated pass">
    After you send the invite, the form is replaced by the generated pass, and the share sheet opens automatically so you can send it to the visitor.

    The pass card shows the visitor's QR code and an **OTP FALLBACK** code to use if scanning isn't possible. It shows **Active** with **Expires in** a remaining time and **Valid until** a date and time. From the card you can share by **SMS**, **WhatsApp**, or **Share**, and use **Reshare pass** to send it again later.

    In the share sheet, choose **Share via WhatsApp**, **Send via SMS**, or **Other share options** to deliver the QR and OTP to your guest. The visitor does not need an app or account to use the pass.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Create an invite on the mobile app

The same flow is available in the Rekkeh mobile app. Open **Invites**, select **Create visitor invite**, and fill in the same visitor name, phone, visit type, and validity details before sending the invite. The mobile form uses a visit-type drawer and duration chips, and can pick a visitor from your contacts.

## What's next

Your visitor shows the QR code or enters the OTP at the gate. To understand what happens after check-in, see [Set up a gate kiosk](/kiosk/set-up-gate-kiosk) and [Configure visitor badge printing](/kiosk/configure-badge-printing).
