An access pass is the authorization that lets a specific person enter your facility for a visit or event. Rekkeh is a physical access control and visitor management platform, and every entry follows the same flow: invite, verify, authorize, enter, track, and audit. A pass is the “authorize” step: it says who is allowed in and for how long, but it does not check anyone in by itself.

Types of access passes

Rekkeh issues several kinds of passes, each for a different kind of entry.

Visitor pass

A guest invite created by a resident or an admin for a one-off visit. The guest receives a QR code and an OTP fallback code they can use at the gate.

Resident access pass

A resident’s own pass shown in the Resident app as a rotating QR code. Provisioned for 30 days, with the QR shown having a maximum lifetime of 15 minutes.

Event access pass

A guest invite tied to a specific event, valid only while the event is active and within its time window. Events use either Multi-entry or Single-entry access.

Recurring vendor pass

A guest invite for a vendor or artisan who visits repeatedly. Stays suspended until estate management approves it, and QR and OTP credentials are only issued after approval.

Contractor access

A standing contractor pass tied to a persistent contractor profile, managed from the Contractors page. Access expires on a schedule and must be renewed.

Invite, verify, and the access decision

Three separate things decide whether someone gets in: the invitation, the verification, and the access decision. An invitation or pass authorizes a visit; it does not admit anyone. At the kiosk, a visitor’s pass is redeemed or verified and attached to a session; that is verification, not admission. The actual allow or deny decision is made in Gate Ops, which also records entry and exit and whether access was allowed or denied. In short: a pass answers “is this person authorized to be here?”, the kiosk answers “is this the person the pass belongs to?”, and Gate Ops answers “should they be allowed in right now?”.
