Before you start
You need admin access to the Rekkeh dashboard, and you configure one gate at a time. Pairing happens on a tablet that can open the kiosk address over the network.
Enable kiosk mode for the gate
Kiosk mode is turned on per gate from the Gates page, not from Settings.1
Open Gates
Open Gates in the dashboard.
2
Select Kiosk for the gate
Select Kiosk for the gate you want to run as a kiosk.
3
Enable kiosk mode
In the Kiosk - Gate name modal, enable Enable kiosk mode for this gate.
Save settings
Enabling the checkbox is not enough; opening the kiosk URL does not save kiosk settings. Select Save settings before you pair a tablet, or the kiosk will not proceed.Pair the tablet
The preferred setup path is the short kiosk address plus a pairing code. The admin modal also exposes Advanced: direct gate link and Copy gate link.1
Open the kiosk address
On the tablet, open the short kiosk address (
https://kiosk.rekkeh.com).2
Generate a pairing code
In the admin modal, select Generate pairing code.
3
Enter the code on the tablet
Enter the code on the tablet under Pairing code.
4
Pair the kiosk
Select Pair kiosk.
What prevents the kiosk from proceeding
The kiosk will not proceed when kiosk mode is disabled for the gate, or when estate-level kiosk walk-ins are blocked. Make sure both the gate-level kiosk mode and the estate walk-in policy are enabled and saved. What’s next
- See the kiosk settings reference for timeout, language, appearance, and device-health controls.
- See configure visitor badge printing so the kiosk prints a badge for each visitor.
