Visit types control which walk-in categories appear at the kiosk and how each one proceeds through registration. You configure the six seeded types under Settings > Operations > Visit types; there is no option to create a type from scratch.
Only full admins can edit visit types. The full-admin roles are estate manager and super admin; a user with only the ordinary admin role can open the page but cannot save visit-type changes.

Open the visit type settings

1

Open Settings

Open Settings in the Rekkeh dashboard.
2

Select Visit types

Under the Operations group, select Visit types.
The list shows each type’s kiosk label, its On kiosk or Hidden status, a flow summary, a visibility switch, and an Edit flow link.

The six seeded visit types

The following types are built into Rekkeh and cannot be created or deleted:
  1. Visitor
  2. Friends / Family
  3. Contractor
  4. Delivery
  5. Interview
  6. Employee

  • Toggle Show on kiosk to make the type visible or hide it.

  • Set Who they can visit to define allowed destinations (for example, residents, units, or departments).

Approval and notifications

  • Enable Require approval if a host must approve the visit before entry.
  • Set Notify host to send alerts when a visitor of this type checks in.

  • Enable Require photo to prompt the kiosk to take a visitor photo during registration.
  • Enable Require ID to collect an identification number.

  • Badge category: which badge template and colour to use.
  • Completion mode: whether registration completes immediately or waits for host approval.

Reset or discard changes

If you change a flow and want to revert before saving, select Discard. To reset a visit type back to its original seeded defaults, select Reset to default.

How the kiosk flow works at registration

When a visitor selects a visit type at the kiosk, Rekkeh guides them through the steps you enabled:
  • If the type requires a host, the visitor searches for and selects the host.
  • If approval is required, the registration pauses until the host approves or the approval timeout elapses.
  • If a photo or ID is required, the kiosk prompts for it before issuing the pass.
  • Once complete, the kiosk shows the pass and any after-registration cards you configured.
