Create a join code in Onboarding → Join codes, share it with an applicant, and approve their request when they join. This article walks through the whole flow: creating and sharing the code, what the member sees when they join on the mobile app or web app, and approving their request.

Before you start

You need admin access to the Rekkeh dashboard to create join codes and approve requests. The join flow looks the same for the member whether they use the mobile app or the web app.
1

Create a join code

Join codes let applicants request to join your organization themselves instead of you inviting each one by email.
  1. Open Onboarding → Join codes.
  2. Create a join code. You can set a name, an optional description, an optional custom code, an optional default role, an expiration, and a maximum number of uses.
  3. Choose whether to auto-approve onboarding. Without auto-approval, each applicant submits a request that you review. With auto-approval, applicants become members immediately and you confirm with your password.
When the code is ready, Rekkeh shows a modal with the join code, a join link, and a QR code.
2

Share the code or QR

Copy the join code or link, or download the QR code, and send it to the applicant. The join link opens the Rekkeh app on a phone or the join page in a browser, so it works in WhatsApp or SMS.
3

Member joins on the mobile app or web app

The applicant joins in three steps: enter the code or scan the QR, choose their unit and phone number, then create their account.
  1. The member opens the join link, or opens the Rekkeh app and chooses Enter your invite code.
  2. On the join page, they enter the code or scan the QR.
  3. In step 1 of 2, they choose their unit, confirm their role, and enter their phone number, which is used only to verify membership. Then they continue.
  4. In step 2 of 2, they create an account with Google or with email. Email requires a full name, email address, and a password of at least 10 characters.
4

Approve the request

Unless auto-approval is on, the applicant’s request appears in Onboarding → Requests for your review. When you approve, the member receives an email confirming their request was approved. They sign in with the email and password they used when they submitted their join request.
Enable auto-approval if you want applicants to become members immediately without a manual review step. You will still confirm the action with your password.
