Patrols let you schedule recurring guard routes, have guards scan checkpoints in the Rekkeh GateOps mobile app, and review the results in the admin console. Four pieces work together: a patrol route you configure, a scheduled patrol instance created from it, checkpoint scans a guard performs, and a patrol log you review.

Guard Patrol module

The Guard Patrol module must be enabled for your facility before any patrol surface appears. The Patrol Routes and Patrol Logs pages in the admin console and the Patrol screen in the GateOps app are available only when the module is on. Guard Patrol is in the default module set for corporate facilities; it is not in the defaults for residential, apartment, school, university, government, or factory facilities, though module overrides can enable it.

The four components

Patrol routes

A recurring configuration you set up under Security > Patrol Routes. It defines the route’s schedule, ordered checkpoints, and the guards assigned to run it.

Scheduled patrol instances

Each scheduled occurrence of a route becomes a patrol instance assigned to a guard. The guard sees the instances assigned to them on the Patrol screen in the GateOps app.

Checkpoint scans

A QR scan the guard performs at each checkpoint in the app. Scans are recorded in order against the running patrol instance and become the evidence shown in the patrol log.

Patrol logs

The reviewable record of a patrol instance in the admin console under Security > Patrol Logs. Completed, late, missed, and in-progress instances all appear here.
