You must have a gate selected and a shift started before you can perform a pickup or drop-off.
Acknowledge open security flags
If the student’s record has open security flags, you must review and acknowledge all of them before the release action becomes available.1
Review the flag
The result card shows a Security flag panel with a severity badge and a description.
2
Confirm acknowledgment
Select the checkbox I’ve reviewed this flag and confirmed the visitor’s identity.
3
Repeat for all flags
Repeat the process for each open flag. Until every flag is acknowledged, the primary action reads Review flag to approve.
Approve and release a student
1
Tap Approve and Release
On the result card, tap Approve and Release.
2
Confirm the release
Gate Ops records the release as a granted access event and shows STUDENT RELEASED with “The student may leave with their collector.”
3
Continue scanning
Tap Next scan to continue working at the gate.
Confirm a school drop-off
School drop-offs use the same workflow. The result card shows Student Drop-off with Admitting, the student’s name, and With: when a guardian is on file.1
Acknowledge security flags
Review and acknowledge any open security flags using the same process described above.
2
Tap Confirm drop-off
Tap Confirm drop-off. Gate Ops records the admission and shows DROP-OFF CONFIRMED with ” was admitted.”
Handle already completed pickups and drop-offs
- A pickup pass that has already been completed shows Workflow complete with “This student has already been released.” The release action is not shown; do not release again.
- An already completed drop-off shows “This student has already been dropped off.”
